when i try to put something in a correct spot, a rendered piece it just glitches out of the way, is there any way to fix that? It happens to me often.

I think you have "snap to edges" selected maybe? I'm not sure exactly what drop down menu it's in but look around. If not, you can always Ctrl + T and use the arrow keys to move. This gets rid of any tendencies for the thing to go towards an edge or something.
