I use CS3 and I just want it so that my render sticks on top of a splatter brush+bg picture.
Right now you can see through the render even though the opacity/fill are at 100%, but I changed the blend mode and it won't look good without it.

make sure that on layer it says normal on top, not overlay or anything else.

hope this helps.

That's what I meant, that's what I changed.
Changed the render from normal=>screen.
is there any way I could still get it to stay on top? D:

no, don't changed normal to screen, screen will add the effects of the bg to the top layer.

unless u have more than 1 copy of the render on top of the bg. if not, leave it at normal.

Then how did this guy change the normal to something else but it still stays on top?

on step 4 is i think where u made a mistake. he had a totally diff bg of a underwater scene or something and put it on top of all the other layers then he changed the blend mode and oppacity.

ok, u need to go to layer 12. and change blend mode instead of normal, like overlay then if its close to what u like but still showing to much of it, make opacity lower.
