So I created a sig with a drop shadow to the right and bottom of the sig to make it pop of the screen. The sig is also animated. I have tried saving it as a GIF but it pixelates the crap out of the drop shadow area. PNG looks great but stalls the animation. I found some oddball things online about making the transparency work but didnt fully understand what they were saying without pictures to help.

Does anyone know how to do this? See an example of what Im doing below.

The border outside the drop shadow isnt transparent in this one.

And that isnt what I consider a shadow...

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Hope someone can help.

GIFs don't support gradient shadows.
It's either, have the GIF be animated without a shadow, or give the PNG a shadow without the animation.

If thats the case...what is the color combination for the text-area background here on jsp? I can work around it by making the area I want to be transparent the same color as the forum background...which will work the majority of the time anyway!
