i cant imagine why you would want to, but its just drawn over a transparent layer

for a project im working at

well i know its drawn on a transparent background, what i want to know is how the worm-root-like border is made

if i was doing it, i'd doodle it then scan, then brush over the doodle etc.

well i wud prefer if some1 tells me a way to make this using photoshop, i know there must be a way
