I read all the tutorials here and they don't work out for me...

I'm trying to get a background working but they all turn out to be like 100kb+ in size, even after changing the file extension to something less.

Any ideas to reduce it?

smaller resolution. more compression. take your pick.

How do I do more compression? Changing the resolution didn't work out for me.

Try saving the file when your done to a jpeg

Also, make sure that the dimensions are correct

max sig is 400/150 i believe

i use 380/150 it happens to be my favorite
