Okay...if I have a movie on my computer, and want to extract a bit to make an animated gif out of it, how would I go about doing this? I have ImageReady and everything like that. And if needed, I have Macromedia Flash.

Honestly, does no one know how to do this? I used to have a site bookmarked for it, but I don't know what happened to it. I know it's possible. I just can't find it on Google.

convert the file to .mov if it already isnt. open the file in image ready. a window pops up, tick "selected range" and select 2nd/3rd frame, so that the amount of frames of the final product arent unnecessary. anyways, roughly select the starting and ending times of the clip you want, and then click ok.

now just do your finishing touches. delete frames you feel are still unnecessary/make your desired edits if at all/change delay times (the number on the bottom right of every frame in the animation window) etc. it may not show, so in that case, go to the toolbar-> window-> animation to see your animation window~

when I do this it says that it will take a while and then half way through it stops saying that there is not enough memory.
