Ive recently become entranced by some of the artists' work here...And It has inspired me to want to try something out myself.

But my problem is....I really dont know where to start.

I dont have TOO many programs....I know PSCS2/3 would be great, but I cant afford that. I have Fireworks though, my Comm Systems teacher gave me a copy to use.

So what should I do? What should I get? If you can help me out with this, I'd really appreciate it.

google for gimp. Its a simple free programm with many tools like photoshop. There are many tutorials too for it. To google also.
First play around and try out the tools. Then start to work with tutorials. Just exercise and when u learned the tools u can start to make your own things

Yeah...im going to have to look at some tuts for gimp. I downloaded a few weeks back...and the interface just confused me for some reason.

u can dl photoshop too and use the 30days trial if u dont want gimp

and if u worked abit with ps and u like it u can buy it np ;=)

youtube + photoshop trial is your friend.

But thats only a 30 day trial. What am I supposed to do after thats over?

i can tell u a way to get photoshop for free but then id be risking my reputable status as a law abiding citizen.

u can install the trial the often u want

actually i know a way u can keep photoshop without re dling the trial a million times.. but again i will not corrupt myself
