anyone recommend a program for adding text to a certain number of frames w/o adding it to all the frames...like say the middle 90 frames or so...I have been told Gimp will not do this and if it does i cannot figure it out.

Imageready, just open it up and put the text on each picture in the animation. Makes it as easy at counting to 25.

It is possible in cs3

Read:

Basically, hit Fine -> Import -> video frames to layers and type in *.*
Then open the .gif file and hit ok

Well, recently I found this trick on photoshop cs3.

To add text, without adding it to all the frame, simply close the "animation" window, and put the text layer on the actual image. Then, if you open back the "animation" window, every frame will have the text on wink.gif .

The "animation" window is the window where we see all the frames etc.
