I am currently learning to use GIMP graphic editor program. For my images, I use GIMP, paint, and a small animation software. Trying to learn how to get the white off of the backround (If you look closely at my sig, you can see it). Any help or point in the direction of any graphics software is greately appreciated (Please do not say Photoshop, $600 dollars doesn't come easy to a 16 year old). Also, does anyone have a decent GIMP tutorial, the one on their website is not very good. Whenever I use the typing method, it doesnt let me do anything outside of it regardless of what I do. >.> GIMP doesn't like me.

Try saving as a .png image.

it preserves transparency

I use Photoshop so I can't really help you with GIMP sad.gif
