are you using photoshop cs3? if so make all the different images you want and save them as 0 1 2 3 4 5 as photoshop images (you don't need to make them with those names but it helps to keep it organized)
After you're done doing that put them in the order you want them as layers (so its one big image with all the layers in a row)
Open the animation window.
Deselect all of the eyes on the layer window so you can't see anything(except your background)
In the animation window use the "duplicate selected frames" option so you have enough frames(you can always add more or just add a few at a time. I add 3 at a time to keep it simple)
Click on the first frame and click on the eye next to the image you want for that frame.
Click on the second frame and click on the eye next to the image you want for that frame.
Do that until you are done then click "alt+shift+ctrl+s" or go to file -> save to web and devices and save it as a gif.
P.S. i guess you already have your animation working lol i should have read more thourougly before i typed this so just use this: Do that until you are done then click "alt+shift+ctrl+s" or go to file -> save to web and devices and save it as a gif.
