That tutorial that Malcomsex posted was very helpful but it doesn't help at all when it comes to animated gifs. I was looking for something that does and found this site.

just upload your image and it'll show you several options for reduction of ur image. remember the file limit is 70 kb. this works for both jpegs and gifs.
