So, I just recently... er... bought Photoshop CS2 just to make my sig, I've got no experience in Photoshop and everything I know I learned from just playing around with the tools for about 2-3 hours.

I was wondering if anyone could nudge me in the direction of some nice sig tutorials for an amateur? While I like my sig, it is nowhere NEAR what I'd like to create, and shrivels in comparison to some of the art I have seen in just 30 minutes spent lurking this board.

http://www.good-tutorials.com/ has a lot of tutorials, and not just for Photoshop.
As a beginner I think the best thing for you is to simply know what looks good and what doesn't, and how to produce the same effects that you see in signatures you like.
The quickest way to go about doing that is to read as many tutorials as possible, especially tutorials that are out of your league (but no so much that they don't tell you how to do something).

only looking for "sig tutorials" will limit what you find.

First try all sorts of tutorials, not only sig tuts, so you get the hang of how things work and what does the tools do etc.
