Well I am very new to Photoshop, & going through tuts, they say to
use a certain brush @ a point & time.

I'm just curious as to is there any way of keeping your brushes in more of an
order?

I swear I had like 300 different brushes, until I just set it back to
use defaults. Although the old ones are still in my brushes folder.

And also I DL'd some packet full of different brushes & texts,
but it went into a folder of it's own. (Photoshop CS3)
Do I just have to copy & paste the files into my regular
folders?

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Preset\Brushes

Etc?

Sorry if my question is kind of scattered, but if you
understand what i'm trying to say, please do answer.

I don't really understand the first question :/, sorry. You want to keep it in more of an order? Well, there's not much you can do really..I think I might know what you mean, maybe try renaming the files into something more categorized, if that's not what you mean then yeah sorry Idk tongue.gif.
As for the second question, yeah just copy/paste the .abr files into the brushes folder smile.gif.

Yeah, sorry for the confusion.
That was more of my main Q, as to how to keep them more organized.

Was hoping maybe I could have little folders called "Abstract" or "Tech" or something in the brushes
menu, rather than just bam, all of them there. It's kind of hard to know what's what, being new.

Thanks

I keep all my brushes sorted by folder like so

Photoshop Brushes (On Desktop)

Premade Brushes (Sub Folder)

Vector Brushes (Subx2 Folder)

Grunge Brushes (Subx3 Folder)

And so forth for each type of brush from that point on when you download a new brush set it has a proper place smile.gif

So you just go & load the brushes into Photoshop each time you think you'll
need them for a project?

I can't see how you can remember which ones look like what, &
which ones you'll need.

Because at one point I loaded so many it was fuckin' ridiculous. Can't
tell what each one does, until I tested it out.
