I want to start learning graphic design, editing regular pictures, making sigs, editing cars, etc.

I don't really have any experience with Photoshop, or any program similar
to it, so i'm really just looking for guidance. Whether CS2, or CS3 would
be recommended for a beginner.

I will probably be learning off tuts. Seems I can find more for CS2, but
just curious as to which might be easier to learn off.

Really, whatever you want..you won't use most of what's in photoshop, most likely.

Just figured i'd ask, since I always see more write ups, but
it seems as if they're always old versions of PS, like CS2, or prior.

Even on CS3 tuts, they seem different then what I see.
Maybe just because they're being viewed from a Mac,
on most, but maybe it's just the configurations.

well, I downloaded the trial from adobe which is cs3 extended, and I don't have big trouble following tuts made by cs2 users (:
