I know next to nothing about drawing tablets but, being okay at drawing, I believe it would make my life much easier. Now the question is what table I should get. Would it be worth waiting and getting an Intuos over getting a cheap Bamboo? I don't plan on doing real brushings. Advice is appreciated.

You'll want to know how much the tablet can sense, of course the more the better but you'll also want to look at the wand (pen).
The tablet can normally detect where your pen is, but not how hard its pushed. The pen will tell the computer how hard you're pushing and how thick to make the strokes, so the more levels of pressure it can detect the better.
You'll also want to know how many buttons both the pen and the tablet have, and if you can change what commands they control (these can be really useful if you set them up correctly).

If you don't plan to brush seriously you shouldnt spend much money on a tablet, though i'd go with a Graphire 4 Classic,
it's a very good choice and it will be good enough if you decide to design more seriously.
About the Bamboo tablets, i cant really tell you much about it, i guess it's not the ideal tablet to draw/brush. But if you want to browse internet or do photoshop manipulations i'm sure it's perfect.(even typographic works and all that stuff)
