ok well ive been wanting a tablet for a while now and it just so happens my friend has one he rarely uses. he said its not a name brand but its a 9x12 and he got it for like $200 new. it includes all the needed software and everything. would that be a good buy for like $50 or would i be better of getting a name brand tablet?

imo, with a non brand name tablet, u need to take a much bigger canvas size and soom in more to get the right detail in it.
normally when u want high detail u take a large canvas and zoom uit, combined pixels etc.

but a non name brand tablet doesnt have that much sensetivity levels etc.

u prolly dont understand this... i dont even know what im typing atm.

I think what he's trying to say is that the sensors in a name brand tablet are closer together so you can be zoomed out on your canvas and still get little details while on this tablet you're buying or debating buying you'll probably have to zoom in close to your canvas on the screen to get small details.
If you're fine with that then buy it =]
Or ask him for a two or three day test run and see how you like it ^^
