In this sig the guy cropped and made a banner that still included the image. How would I go about doing this? Do I go Image icon_pointr.gif Apply Image for the final image then crop it? Or do I crop it way before the final image is done?

Also, how do I crop? When I use the marquee tool and select what I want it does not work.. I only get what is selected. So instead I just selected what I did not want to be cut out and it still did not work.. I have a feeling it's a layer problem. Can anyone lend some much needed help? A detailed explanation would be really helpful. Thanks.

I usually just copy the image, open paint, and paste it. Then I cut out what I want to crop and host it..

When you're in the final image, make a new layer, go to Image -> Apply Image and click ok, after that select the Rectangular Marquee Tool, select a particular area of the sig and go to Edit -> Stroke... and pick 1 px center. Then again, select another area with the Rectangular Marquee Tool and stroke it like you did before. Then you can erase the unwanted area between the stroke, or you can just brush over the unwanted area.
