Ive seen a post on it before but i just cant find it

so i pose the question

how do i save abn image to put up on imageshack that will have a transparent background?

aka what file type do i use

.png or .gif

Use .png if it doesn't have animation since .gif is shitty quality.

If you save gif, it will work, but also the image will have little poor quality.
PNG will work fine, no quality problems, only problem is IE 6. PNG Wont work on IE6 but in other browsers yes.
