How do i save a image as a png so it has a transparent background everytime i try it always has a white background. It worked when i saved it as a gif too bad the quality is terrible

go to save for web and devices
in the drop box change it to png 24
then save it

just tried that still doesnt work

are u sure that you have the white bg layer or w/e hidden

yeah it saves with a transparent background as a gif not as a png though :/

are u sure u have png 24?

yep there was png 8 and 24 i saved it as a png 24

.. how do you know its not working as transparent (how are you viewing it)

u just cant tell until its actually on the internetz
cuz it will show up with white their in fax viewr (assuming ur using that)
