i have photoshop on vista

is this where i create avatars and sigs?

if so, can someone let me in on how to make these, and what size they have to be in order to fit on the sig?

Well, look around this forum (Q&A and tutorials) and find some good beginner tutorials. Then just follow them and learn from them. The size for avatars is 64x64 and for sigs it can be maximum 450x150 I think.
