k i have gimp for my program

i need to know how to remove the backround from an image i upload?....besides cutting it all out which would look sloppy

well, cutting it all out is basically the only way to do it. I guess the nooby way is to use magic wand, but thats going to look very sloppy too. Just go slowly cutting it out and zoom in.
