Ive never had photoshop before but the question is:
So I get a render and free transform it, but how do I put it on a sig size new picture so I can put it to scale? All i get is a free transform of the render with a gray checkered background and I cant copy the image or paste it onto a different document where I have the back ground already made. Please help and I know this is an extremely silly question.

not 100% sure what ur saying but try clicking and dragging.
find the little moving thing like a cross in the tool box ( top right mabey?)

Guess i just have to use hotkeys like ctrl c and ctrl v lol. No option for right click and stuff.

just drag the image you want to the other window?

I cant find the other window. its usually minimized, I think theres supposed to be some little button that I can put the image over that little button and it drags it over to that window? Or maybe I have to find out how to minimize the window to a smaller size.

Well if this helps, grab your move tool and drag it into where ever you want it.
If you want to resize it, then you can hold shift, grab a corner and bring it in.

Oh lol, found out how to do this a while ago. Thanks for all the help though, CS3 had a extremely tiny downsize window button or I can just just manually or hotkey copy and paste no right click lol.
