I just recently started the whole graphics design thing(last night biggrin.gif) and i was wondering if theres an easier way to render then using the laso tool and doing it pixel by pixel or w/e
are there any tutorials on like only rendering an image?

i've been TRYING to make sigs whenever im bored~ and how i do it is

first. open the picture i want to crop in photo
duplicate the image
delete the original layer
use the "magic eraser tool" (right click the eraser and select it) on the background
IF you have your render perfect after that, then there you go. but usually that wont work~ some areas will get cut off (keep in mind which areas got cut off on the soon to be render)
pick the regular eraser and erase a line between the area(s) that cut off, and the rest of the image
use the magic eraser on the side(s) that didnt get cut off, so that only the render and no background cept the photoshop background is there
use a small brush on the eraser tool, and outiline the render on where it got cut off when you used the magic eraser tool first
once you outlined the areas that got cut off, use the magic eraser tool and you should only have your render~

iono if ne1 else does it like this, but i found it easier than outlining the whole picture

iono; i use photoshop cause we got it along with some other free programs when we bought this computer from our uncle's shop, and didnt start using photoshop till i joined jsp.

magic eraser tool pretty much erases the entire background, if the background is all one color. itll get rid of some of the picture, if the part of the picture's color thats touching the background is the same/similar to the background
