know enough about CS . mostly want recommends now

recommend what?

either pay money for photoshop cs? ($1,000+)

or get gimp

gimp is good enough for starting out, imo. Just read some tutorials, and you will do fine.

zzz if your gonna start with gimp then move to photoshop its harder then just starting with photoshop.

either of them are going to be hard at the start, because you have no idea what to do...

yes i've heard. I tried CS with the 30 days free trial on my old comp.

i found it hard that didn't surprise me.
But it also slowed my computer quite a bit. but it was old so i guess thats what happen

Do u notice alot that its installed or do your computer run as always ?

My comp runs as normal, start with photoshop I can tell you now if you start with GIMP its gonna be tough to improve as fast as you could with photoshop, fyi gimp and photoshop are free.
