IP and stuff?

well ive only just d/led vent so i have no idea how to work it

That's not an IP.

erm, how do i get an ip? i mean ive got 1 but how do i tell what it is?

You have to have a vent server.

EDIT: No, you don't use your computers IP. You or someone you know has to have a vent server. Then, you get the IP and port for that server from whoever is hosting it. We can just wait for him to contact you or whatever.
