cs3 already got animations included u nn imageready, but the animation program in cs3 isnt that nice so i would say get imageready aswell
dont think there are any other differences oO

I have CS3, I dont know of any specific tuts for it though.

I found out that Fireworks was the replacement for Imageready for CS3. So I got this yesterday... I guess I'm a fool around a bit with it.

um.... no it isn't....
they simply got rid of imageready and added a animation pallette to photoshop...
isn't fireworks a web designing program?

Well I read that people use it to do animations for just about anything, and I think it is for web designing primarily, yes. Although a lot of people use it in conjunction with PS.
