paint.net is a little more user friendly

Would recommend just downloading the free trial to photoshop and looking over a few tutorials.

Gimp is great for new sig users if you play around with it and try using some of the tutorials, i highly recommend it

just dl photoshop trials, and after 1 expires make a new email and get a new 1, if u dont wanna pay liek the 600 dollers for a profesional program
