Is c4d a whole different program? Like can I make it work for GIMP?

Of course. - c4d are picture like anything. They've been render from a program, and save as a .png, so it can be use by any program, mostly in use for signature.

Cinema 4D is a moddeling / texturing / rendering / animating programm for 3d pictures or similiar. Its a professionall programme and one of the leading softwares on the market for that catergory. U can create your own 3d graphics with it, or even short 3d vids. It takes long to master so don´t think its something like gimp or something.
Its not free, I think the latest version costs around 600-800 euros I`m really not sure atm.

i just want to add that cinema 4d is used in graphix design abstract sigs, cause they are so damn ez to maken with that program, much ez-er then for instance maya.

these programs are not really designed for abtractness, but for recreating real models into digital 3d models.
