I thought, watching the whole event couple days after the fact, but for the first time...
That a minute into in the last round, that jones had to knock him out, or get the tko or a tap from Reyes to get the win, or fucking blast him with everything he had to show & get the overall superiority impression, and dominance.
On the other hand, if it is a fight, in real life, and one is starting to clearly take over at the end of it... I´d say the one who actually endures the longest and ends way stronger actually wins the fight.
So in that sense I would, in a street fight for example, had given it to jones. Given that it would have kept going for another few minutes or more until someone gives in.
So, it´s a tough call. But I felt like the decision would probably have gone to Reyes in the end, based on how mma should, or usually is judged round for round.
And that the win for Jones was quite lucky in that sense. I was a little surprised hearing "and STILL"... But not dissapointed. (Cause i didn´t bet. if i did bet on Reyes I don´t know if i would have seen it the same .. ) I´m no expert at all, just how i reasoned.
