Ali act has its perks, but disadvantages as well. The ufc is the premier organization for mma. If the Ali act were to cover mma, the ufc couldn’t have exclusive rights to fighters and prevent them for fighting for another promotion. You could have actual world titles.

However, it could be worse. Boxing is all about padding stats, giving out fake belts, you can have 10 heavyweight champs and they would never unify the belt. The same scheduled, regimented and routine of the ufc is a part of what makes it so great. You have a list of guys in each division , ranked accordingly(mostly) and you have a system in place. Boxing does not. There is many more

The Ali Act isn't for a viewer or a fan, it is about business opportunities fighters can venture into.

With the forced sponsorship from Reebok, fighters lost their rights to advertise.

I get it, from a promotional standpoint, that the UFC and other organisations want their fighters to be exclusive, a household name.

I voted yes, only to give fighters some of their rights back.
