UFC 327: Procházka vs. Ulberg MMA Pick' Em Contest


💰 Contest Details 💰

Entry Fee: 500 fg (Sent to me)

Prize Payout: Winner Takes All, paid within 24 hours of event end.

Entry Deadline: April 11 @ 5:00 PM EST / 2:00 PM PST


The person with the most total points wins. Points are earned for each fight based on three specific criteria:


Base Scoring (Must get Winner Correct)

* Correct Winner: 5 Points
* Correct Method: 3 Points (KO/TKO, Submission, or Decision)
* Correct Round: 2 Points

Round Points are only available for finishes (KO/Sub). If you pick Decision, the round category does not exist for that bout and no round points are awarded.

If a fight ends in a Draw or No Contest, that bout is voided and 0 points are awarded to everyone. A TKO occurring between rounds counts as a finish in the round that just concluded.

The "Underdog Multiplier"

Reward your "value" picks. If you correctly pick an underdog, you receive a bonus equal to the first digit of those odds.
* +100 to +199: +1 Point
* +200 to +299: +2 Points
* +300 to +399: +3 Points

Odds Source: Closing Bovada lines via https://www.oddstrader.com/ufc/ will be used to calculate Underdog Bonuses.


The Perfect Pick Bonus (+2)

This is a reward for the high difficulty of timing a finish.
* Awarded for: Correctly guessing the Winner, Method, and Exact Round for any KO/TKO or Submission.
* The Decision Exception: Since Decisions do not have a round category, they are ineligible for the +2 Perfect Pick Bonus.


Scoring Comparison (Winner Correct):
Perfect Finish (Winner + Method + Exact Rd): 5 + 3 + 2 + 2 = 12 Points
Correct Decision (Winner + Method): 5 + 3 = 8 Points
Finish (Winner + Method + Wrong Rd): 5 + 3 = 8 Points
Underdog bonuses are added on top of these totals.

I've had a few people tell me they are interested but so far I'm the only entry, hopefully get some people closer to Saturday :bonk:

Correct Winner (5) + Correct Method (3) + Wrong Round (0) is 8 pts

Correct Winner (5) + Wrong Method (0) + Correct Round (2) is 7 pts

Correct Decision is always 8 pts, correct winner/method/round is 12 pts. We used to have something similar ran here like 10 years ago and people mainly just spammed decisions so I tried to weight the scoring so picking finishes actually made sense.
