Izreal Adesanya is 33 years old. When he loses again. He will just take the L.
Periera would lose easily to an active takedown game. So someone will beat him. My guess is the first man to try and take him down for 5 rounds get's the belt. Robert Whittaker EZ WIN for sure.
After Periera loses Izreal either get's the fight for the title or is 1-2 fights away from the title.
He can beat most/all the top #5 and is confident he can. If he does they will have to give him a title match vs whittaker.
back to his age. He's young IMO if he was 38 or so I would agree with retirement from UFC.
Imagine being able to retire at 33 though with almost no REAL damage taken. His legacy is already cemented as one of the best, he really has nothing to prove at this point, unless he’s just trying to prove to world he can beat Pereira when we all already know he is capable. Does he really want to end up like Anderson Silva? Fedor? Why not retire on top? Or as close to the top as you can possibly be? I’d hate to see his legacy dwindle which is what I think will happen if he continues to fight after he gets KO’d brutally this Saturday.
And yes, Alex could use a better ground game but so far he hasn’t needed it at all. (He’s not really the goat I’m just playin, but he’s the fighter I believe in the most currently.)
