Please name how many Dutch fighters are relevant in mma, since you know.. They're the greatest strikers out there?
Not saying other countries don't practice Muay thai or kickboxing but it's nowhere near as emphasized as it is over there. That's like the last thing you guys have to hold onto before you completely fall off the face of the planet is relevancy.
Lets forgot this little country has always been a powerhouse in the biggest sport of the world?
Or how we completely dominate ice speed skating at the olympics, even though we don't even have friggin ice over here lol.
Mma is not popular here at all... that Bas Rutten, Gegard Mousasi and Alistair Overeem (and some more here and there) fought (or still fight) at the top is simply because they had the drive to do it.
Judo and kickboxing have pretty much always been the most popular combat sports here, especially judo.
We don't have wrestling in school etc, which is imo why Americans are a force in mma, because that is still the best base you can have.
Besides... why this discussion? I just mentioned Aldo his trainer is heavily influenced by Dutch kickboxing (mikes gym to be specific).
Same as Anthony Johnson his stand up is influenced by a Dutch striking coach etc.
