Please name how many Dutch fighters are relevant in mma, since you know.. They're the greatest strikers out there?

Not saying other countries don't practice Muay thai or kickboxing but it's nowhere near as emphasized as it is over there. That's like the last thing you guys have to hold onto before you completely fall off the face of the planet is relevancy.

Lets forgot this little country has always been a powerhouse in the biggest sport of the world?
Or how we completely dominate ice speed skating at the olympics, even though we don't even have friggin ice over here lol.

Mma is not popular here at all... that Bas Rutten, Gegard Mousasi and Alistair Overeem (and some more here and there) fought (or still fight) at the top is simply because they had the drive to do it.
Judo and kickboxing have pretty much always been the most popular combat sports here, especially judo.
We don't have wrestling in school etc, which is imo why Americans are a force in mma, because that is still the best base you can have.

Besides... why this discussion? I just mentioned Aldo his trainer is heavily influenced by Dutch kickboxing (mikes gym to be specific).
Same as Anthony Johnson his stand up is influenced by a Dutch striking coach etc.

You have never won a World Cup in soccer, id be easy on the word powerhouse. And congrats on speed ice skating, must be something to really take pride in!! LOL

You make every conversation on this forum about the "Dutch" when it's not ever necessary. We don't constantly talk about "America" every time an American fighter wins a fight or anytime a fighter is trained by an American etc etc because it's not necessary what so ever

And what about the Alpha Male guys?

Duane Ludwig had a very classic Dutch kickboxing style.
Not the best kickboxer out there... but that definitely is his base.

But I think he has done it the best, he adjusted the Dutch kickboxing style for mma.
Mainly more footwork.

Good god here we go with Dutch again. This is the point I'm making. Overeem is being trained by American trainers so maybe he can actually do something with his career and stop getting his head knocked into the next zip code by scrubs.

See we can do the same :]

5th spot for the Netherlands
Multiple second places (zzz) at the worldcup.
Did win European cup at least.

Besides... I did not say we are the absolute best... I said we are a powerhouse, which we are.
Netherlands always had the most attractive football together with Brazil and we usually get good results.

You can, but I don't mind it.

I got all the respect for Greg Jackson - Winkeljohn etc.

Obviously mma is much more than kickboxing and kickboxing itself needs some adjustments for mma.
Like I gave the Ludwig example... an American... who does it best right now.
Turning wrestlers into beastly mma strikers.

Either way - stop getting your panties in a bunch cause I mention something about Dutch kickboxing.
My god...

Lol. He's going to be a superstar should he win.
Or look like a fool for this if he gets his ass beat.

Now it's getting close, finally you're gonna learn your lesson for talking all that good shit.

I can't wait for mcgregor to wreck.

Yeah okay...

I'll take the various tools Aldo has over the few Mcgregor has any day... The only thing Mcgregor is doing is beefing up these odds for me to cash in on

e/ Star I missed you. Moving up in the world i see :D
