Yeah, it was really weird. I missed class for the last three weeks due to a sinus infection. At the end of live training my instructor circled us up and he was like "Let me see you, you and you." I was like "Fuck, I know this about how I just got arm barred." and he handed out first stripes to me and two other guys and a third stripe to another teammate's purple belt. Was really really satisfying.

that's kinda how it happened for my second stripe.

I was sick and injured for almost two weeks, came back and felt rusty during class. At the end of class, our instructor came up to me and the guy I started training with and gave us our second stripes.

I think that the guys running gyms like to group guys up as they progress. I'd be willing to bet you earned your stripe before you got sick but your instructor probably wanted to wait until the three of you were all there.

JUST A HUNCH! :D

Congrats again!

Yeah, he said to me about a month and a half ago about almost being ready for my first stripe. Feels fucking good man. Feels even better to train again without being sick as fuck all the time.

Took me about 5 months to get my first stripe, apparently it's the hardest one to get. It's just a silly piece of tape but it means a LOT! jajajajajjaja

Yeah, about four and a half months of training for me and I missed two and a half weeks around new years and three weeks just now so in reality, a little more than three months of uninterrupted training. It also helps when you get a lot of private lessons from a purple belt.

yeah, i probably earned my first stripe before 5 months of uninterrupted training, although it's hard to say or compare. it was 5 months before i ever got the opportunity to train with someone who could actually give me a stripe lol.

Story: Last saturday had my first amateur fight and I subbed the guy (rear-naked choke) in 37 seconds with 16oz gloves on B).

Also I'm a striker.

I have the white shirt

That's when I take the back

When I was chocking him out.

Sorry for the lack of video, but they didn't have time to set it up and I forgot to ask someone to take one. /:
