Could be a coincidence. Or maybe discrepancies in size can be offset by tactic and skill easier than discrepancies in speed.
Other than Henry, none of the other guys or Nunes moving up had any chance of losing there original title belt.
They get beat by the champ in a higher weight class they are warriors for even trying. I think that plays a lot into how a fighter prepares mentally.
And I can’t be bothered to look up the exact stats, but in 2018 with the massive weight missing by everyone, more of the competitors that came in heavy won.
