There has been speculation that Daniel Bryan may have used retirement as a way to get out of his WWE contract, perhaps as a way to once again wrestle on the indies. We've noted how most people believe Bryan is staying retired for his health and Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter shot that speculation down on his website. Meltzer said:

"If you think Bryan outsmarted Vince by retiring to end the freeze on his contract, well, I can tell you for sure you're wrong on that one. Retirement had no affect on the terms of his deal."

I dont blame Bryan at all if he does this, WWE has screwed him with regards of getting out of his contract...like Mysterio

"We noted on DWN a while back that there were plans for The Wyatt Family to attack Brock Lesnar at WWE Fastlane, leading to some sort of match at WrestleMania 32.

Those plans obviously did not happen last night. It was reported on Wrestling Observer Live today that the run-in was nixed and Lesnar will no longer be facing Bray Wyatt, his opponent will now be Dean Ambrose. We'll keep you updated on any more information that becomes available."

At least Vince got SOMETHING right

Curious how they will build Ambrose to be any kind of threat to Lesnar. All he has done so far is a low blow or two and prove he can take a beating

Either way there's no doubt the two will have a great match

I know what you mean, in a sense Ambrose really hasn't beaten anyone noteworthy to establish credibility to take on The Beast.

They've been working really well together so it should make for an awesome build up/match at least.

Exactly :P Ambrose has proven time and time again that he can hang with the main-event guys but in kayfabe if Brock would get serious he would destroy Ambrose in two minutes

I guess it'll be a Hardcore match or something

It definitely needs a stipulation if they're going to play the whole Underdog role. :p

Imagine the pop that place will get if say, Ambrose beats Lesnar in a No Holds Barred match? Nothing wrong with being an underdog, Mysterio did amazing with it for so many years. Add in the crazy and resilient factor of Dean, and it could very well steal the show at WM. I remember everyone thought Lesnar/Punk would be a squah but it was amazing as was Shane/Angle at the time

On a side note: Godfather to be inducted into the HoF. Great choice! HOOOOOOO TRAINNNN.
