A loss to Khabib isn't shameful...nor is getting floored by him. Also, I think Khabib should be in the GOAT discussion. Apart from having arguably lost a few rounds (notably to Conor), his record is impeccable. GSP is my all-time favourite even if he sat on most of his opponents, but unless Khabib quickly fades after the UFC gets back in full force, I don't see why he shouldn't deserve serious consideration. I also think that Mighty Mouse will be overlooked in a few years.

He doesn't have proven longevity yet to be considered the GOAT in the UFC imho. I think he deserves to be in the conversation due to the way he has dominated his opponents, but he's still young. He's not untested but he hasn't faced as many obstacles as GSP or Jones (although the steroids will always hurt his legacy) or Mighty Mouse--or Anderson Silva for that matter. I don't think the GOAT needs to lose but I think there needs to be a big career with lots of triumphs and sone true tests. Maybe Khabib should fight at 170 and see if he can deal with Usman. He hasn't faced a few top guys in his own division. He needs to do something extraordinary after winning the title to be the GOAT. And he hasn't done that just yet.

Being undefeated is one thing, but even then he'll have, what, 4 title defences under his belt (pun intended)? I'm a massive fan of his fighting ability but he's going to need more than a pristine record to make me see him as the clear GOAT. He hasn't seen adversity in the octagon yet and it's not his fault. But he needs to be truly challenged and to show that he can rise to the challenge. JBJ and JSP and Mighty Mouse (for example) saw greater adversity.

I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be called the GOAT but I'm not ready to give him that. Maybe his next two fights will change my mind if he goes through something and finishes in extraordinary fashion. MMA has been around for a while and there have been a lot of incredibly talented champions.

e: also, it's great if you support him as the GOAT. I thought he was unrecognized and underrated for quite some time. He's a great athlete and he's very strong and he has pretty solid technique. And he's ferocious. I love his fight game!

GSP is the GOAT. the undefeated record means noting, especially as a champ, you have to defend your title several times vs best competition in order to cement your status which GSP did and not Khabib at this time. He only beat conor who is a journeyman and few other good fighters.
