You are right though, the things we are taught in school about all wars is outrageous. All of it is just pushing our agenda and making us look like the hero, even in situations that shouldnt be.
I think the first bomb being dropped absolutely needed to happen, the second was not. I only say that because I truly believe if one was not used then, hundreds would have been used later. That being said, our country still killed 50K+++ innocent people with each bomb dropped which is absolutely disgusting.
