Right, thanks for the reminder im sure ive heard this long time ago. Makes sense, seen the opportunity so many times but wondered if they were just being nice about it or not... like some choose not to sidekick to the side of the knee when planted. Thats good tho i wouldnt like to see that too much, would be gnarly. Thanks.

Did anyone do it early days of ufc? First few cards had barely no rules, it was so messed up... i might have to go back again and watch those again, it's Interesting how the sport is so vastly different now 30 years later.

If i remember right they had several matchups in a tournament style set up and stuff as well for the first few ufc too.... oh well back to ufc282.

Yes. It was ufc 2 or 3 that a guy won a fight when he got taken down and literally hit the other dude in the balls like 9-10 times in a row as hard as he could. It was wild back then. Dudes just throwing haymakers into the back of their heads.

It was so wild that John McCain, senator at the time, saw it and thought it was disgusting and barbaric. He moved to make it illegal, which was when the UFC adopted the unified rules and weight classes to not get banned.
