Exactly, the goal was communism and never reached it.

It was an autocracy who pretended to be socialist.

Just like USA pretends to be democratic and yet the concept of gerrymandering is very prominent in that political system.

The only functional example of communism is the extremist christian groups that are dispersed predominantly in NA but also around the world.
