It's not even a "fanboys" perspective.
Daniel Bryan is, without question, one of the best technical wrestlers in the world.
Let's not even go into how many times Hogan got to be the big dog in Wrestlemania and he sucks ass at wrestling.

Bryan isn't Cena, he can't have a match in the middle of the card to put someone over. Bryan is the closest they've had to a new top face (sorry Punk fanboys) and they can't replace Cena or turn him heel until someone else is already on the top. Remember how Cena main evented against guys like HHH and HBK before he was concidered #1.

Bryan vs Rollins would be one hell of a main event for Summerslam though

The logical story to go with would be Orton vs. Rollins at Mania in my opinion. Orton will return as a face and seek vengeance for the loss vs. Rollins at RAW and his subseqent split from Authority during the storyline. They had one match at RAW, could have one more at Fast Lane and then come to a final resolution at Mania.
Bryan just doesn't have that personal story with Rollins yet. He beat his nemesis Triple H last year und won the big one later as well and got his (unfortunately short) run, while Orton was was demoted from "best for business" to a mere #2 vs. "the future of WWE" by Triple H.

Bryan is more of a candidate for a Rumble victory ImO.
But tbh I guess Reigns will win the Rumble and go on to beat Lesnar at WM for the belt. I don't think he is ready yet, but WWE creatives seem to do. They'll probybly have Big Show lay down for him first to to push him a little further inbetween Rumble and Mania.

Then again, crowd reactions could do anyone but Reigns a huge favor... imagine a Final-4 at the Rumble consosting of Ziggler, Bryan, Orton and Reigns. Reigns - depending on the crowd ofc - could experience something like Batista's debacle from last year's rumble (reaction-wise).

Rollins will not cash in vs. Lesnar... Lesnar is paid until at least WM31 and WWE will not be dumb enough to take the belt away from him before that night. Also, Heyman seems to be close with HHH now and on the same page with Rollins etc.

Orton as a face is so so bad though . He needs to stay a heel or at least a tweener

The thing is now when Bryan and Orton are back, they don't need to push Reigns as hard, they can keep him in the upper midcard and give him time.

I think they want to build him like the Undertaker, dominant and dangerous without putting the title on him every 6 months
