Aldo is more Dutch kickboxing style, since his trainer has lived/trained here at Mike's gym in Amsterdam.

But take a Nieky Holzken, he doesn't have amazing footwork or anything... but I assure you he will be able to walk down/corner any fighter.
And that's what the top level muay thai guys do as well, they stalk their opponent, but in a controlled fashion.

Aldo just went in swinging wild Wanderlei Silva style... which obviously only works as long as you can absorb the shots. ^_^

You don't think Conor, the guy who has been training in MMA since he was a teenager and will be recognized as a top p4p fighter in the near future... would be able to take a pure muay thai fighter down? You don't think it'd be a completely different game for Saenchai in there with 4 oz gloves on and fighting someone with movement like Conor?


C'mon the guy is a great thai fighter but to say RIP Conor if he ever came to mma is a bit ridiculous. The guy would get slaughtered

Conors style is tailor made to rip apart muay thai fighters any how.

Pretty much, their lack of foot work would end badly in mma with guys like conor, condit, Thompson, cruz etc

Saenchai has fought essentially bare knuckle with just hemp rope(I think?) wraps. I think he was saying Conor wouldn't even try to take him down. After all he prides himself on his standup game and calls the Muay Thai style slow and flat footed. And didn't he call people out on being panic wrestlers before?

Conor gets murdered in the stand up, so it's basically just wether or not his ego will let him try and take saenchai down.

Everyone that fights Saenchai turns into a panic wrestler at some point.

Kids are morons. jose aldo would make saenchai look like an amateur in an mma fight and you saw how he faired against Conor.

This isn't Muay Thai. This is mma. it's all pure speculation and if the dude did come to mma he would never even make it up to a fight with Conor. Quit disrespecting the king turds
