ah yes, but they didn't beat him. 26-1-0 is crazy. Whether there are fighters that can beat him or not, he dominated that division for a long time. He is trying a different strategy. He doesn't want to get hurt bad and get paid very little. That is a horrible deal for an aging mma fighter. I believe he has earned the right to hold the cards now in his favor. Because no one really beat him. So by that logic, he has nothing to prove. However, every other mma fighter hasn't proven that they beat him. Almost, could of, should of, doesn't count. Nobody got him to tap, no one tko him, no one ko him, no one won by decision.
It's similar marketing to Floyd Mayweather. Nobody beat him. Until then nobody proved shit. Both fighters have nothing to prove.
