If you are a stubborn bull like me, not tapping can also lead to torn ligaments. Don't fight armbars. Just don't do it. I learned it is best to just give up, save your stamina, and evade injury.

I did fight the armbar but I never got seriously injured. But I could feel the muscle tearing from the bone.

Not in bjj/grappling. Yes in MMA. Anyway there's a new grappling tournament that allows slapping

Depends on how the people applies the armbars anyway. When we spar we usually tap but then we restart from there, allowing the partner to escape the armbar
