What if the fighters had to be weighted right as they enter the cage, perhaps as a part of the walk-in ceremony?
Wouldn't that completely eliminate the entire problematic concept while being safer?
in a perfect world right?
I've always wanted them to move the weigh in close to the fight time so the fighters are fighting at a more natural weight but at the end of the day you're still going to get some dumb ass who thinks he can perform fine after cutting a bunch of weight.
Or some other dumb ass who didn't do the necessary dieting to be their natural weight so they cheat it by cutting water weight.
At the end of the day, you can't stop people from doing stupid shit because they're just stupid people. You'll always have the dummys trying to circumvent the rules which are put in place with health and safety in mind.
Lately I've wondered if rather than fighters dying from weight cuts or being forced by medical personnel to stop, they die in the cage instead or are forced to stop fighting in between rounds. Know what I mean?
