Maybe
The problem with Cena is that the man will not put anyone else over and when you're obviously being scripted to never lose fairly, of course people get tired of it.
I think Cena has a great "it" factor and definitely embodies what WWE superstars have over the decades, however, he just makes a fucking mockery of himself by winning every match (even when he loses, he 'wins' because he was screwed over)

Punk, Bryan, Ryback, Miz, Sheamus, Del Rio and most other champs beg to differ. He's the top dog, you can't expect Ryder to get a clean pin or a coward character like the Miz to not take every shortcut he can

Thats not his decision though.

Cena is at that crossroads that EVERY major 'face of the franchise' superstar goes through, hatred. Happens(ed) to everyone. Rock, Stone Cold, etc...

The question is, what does he do to break out of that to become more loved than ever. I think he needs to re-imagine his character, something fresh. If he can successfully do that, he will be on top again. I think he should take a year to really become 'bad', attack people back stage, interrupt other matches, screw people over, cause 'injuries', not wear all BRIGHT GREEN shit... and in a year or so, he can align himself with a major figure and be the 'here/good guy' again.

Only problem is, WWE makes way to much money of his merchandise to allow him to take a route like that.

I was away from watching Cena when he first hit the scene with the whole 'hip hop image' but from what I can tell, he because a HUGE Superstar and fan favorite very fast. He is obviously different now, question is what does he change to become 'that guy' again

I realize that it isn't his decision, but he would have the availability to be like "Hey Vinnie Mac, let's let me put someone over for once." and McMahon would be like ANYTHING YOU SAY JOHNNY BOY

What are they begging to differ?
And when he's having rivalries with the same people, some being some of the strongest competitors in the WWE (Bray Wyatt, etc), he can't lose clean just once?

I think this would interfere with his make a wish endeavors, 5 year old dying kids want a hero not a heel to come visit them. His character is much bigger than the business, what he does for a lot of people with it is more important than what fans think. What he does now is no different than what hogan was doing for many years before nwo, the "super hero" character will always be the kid favorite.

But from a business side of things, hes like the anti-heel. Kids love him and buy his merchandise but the mature fans hate him and buy tickets to watch him lose. Think about what a heels job is, to make you so mad at him that you want to see him get his ass kicked. Cena is playing both roles and is still able to help dem keeds.

I think this is all to take away attention to cena and being #1 going for the BELT and get others involved.

and lets be honest, people are tired of cena.

He put them all over in the last couple of years with clean losses. Bray Wyatts character is a cult leader and an evil mastermind, he's not supposed to be trying to beat the best without a plan. Look at Punk from his SeS days, Wade with the Nexus etc.

E; we also can't forget Cena is the #1 face, he can't be putting over everyone all the time

"All the time"
I think he just should SOMETIMES.

The ONLY defeats OF Cena weren't his doing, because he wasn't solely responsible for the match.

/e And the cage match loss was not a clean loss either, so there's no arguments with that.
He simply does not lose matches without there being some sort of "upset" or "intrusion"

They need Luke Harper vs Bray Wyatt . Harper needs to loose a few screws and go uncontrollable dominating all infront of him

Opinions on Bo Dallas? His gimmick is a bit strange, but it could work. In his gimmick he thinks he is liked by many / a good guy, while in reality he is a heel.

could be something fresh

I just love his theme song
