too bad mini mendes on suspension he would be the perfect fight for ortega

he wouldn't be able to grapple stumpy mendes and mendes has way better striking than cub

Ortega will have trouble with Frankie / holloway / mendes

He did not. He kept it clean, nothing Swanson threw phased him or caught him off guard, he rolls with the punches and keeps on going forward. Swanson showed great head movement, but was lured into the clinch two times.

Ortega has the best grappling in MMA right now. In all his fights, when he gets a hold of his opponent it's game over or saved by the bell. How he grabbed and controlled Swanson in the first round was picture perfect.

Give this kid a title shot.

Chad is eligible in 6 months I think. That fight might happen since Holloway still has to fight Frankie, and after that he'd prob be in no rush to defend quickly. So Ortega probably has a fight left before he fights max unless he wants to wait it out for almost a year.
