anyone 6ft+ would be at 185 at least

It would ruin every weight class sport known to man lol.

These kids having their mommies who put them on a 'even' playing field are running rampant through these forums.

It's always been the solution I've pushed for, myself. Obviously we would need to add 15lbs to every weight division, or just scrap the history books and say those are new belts, but it would be worth it

Uhh, one might easily argue that it's just as childish and spineless for an overgrown person to exploit lazy body type match making to fight midgets. IN fact, it's even more whiney and pathetic to ask the UFC to keep these lazy rules just to facilitate blatant cheating and mismatching of opponents. I wouldn't go for that angle if I were you, it's a dead end argument.

I mean how long did Tim Sylvia sit ontop of the heavy weight division, just because he has cartoon-like reach?

Tim Sylvia is probably one of the most unskilled cavemen I have ever seen compete in the sport lol and a prime example of what these 6'2+ people are taking advantage of at lower divisions.

Good luck arguing that. You just sound like some small goon talking like that.

A tall person fighting a shorter person? What has combat sports come too really. Like oh my god. Lets reform the NBA into 3 leagues w/ height classes so no one gets their feelings hurt when they just cant contend Kevin Durants jumper.

Give me a break man, Sylvia got exposed by fighters later on and he was fortunate enough to be in the sport in the early days.

The most interesting part about fights is how fighters deal with reach advantages/disadvantages. Their is some great fighters who are amazing inside and know how to close distance just like there is great fighters who can use there reach.
Put Tim slyvia in his prime in the HW division now a days and he would never EVER hear anything about a title shot , you know why? He's always been out of shape and was never trained properly for the sport, add that his body type is pretty terrible for the division and you have a recipe for disaster.

Tim slyvia was the best in the division when fighters couldn't deal with size and heavy hands. You even had small ass Randy couture come put him in his place. The HW division back then was a joke, it was all about the LHW division.

The baddest man on the planet was 5'10. He fought in the heavy weight division and was a champion for 4-5 years. Easily the deadliest puncher in his time and he fought people with reach advantages his whole career.

You're being completely ridiculous with your exaggerations / putting words in my mouth, just like you did the last time I wrek'd your bankrupt thought process.

Listen: Nothing is wrong with a taller fighter facing a shorter figher, k?

THe problem is when a RIDICULOUSLY TALLER fighter fights a RIDICULOUSLY shorter person, or a person with a RIDICULOUSLY LONG reach advantage fights a guy with a RIDICULOUSLY LONG reach disadvantage.

Btw, NBA Doesn't even apply to MMA, so I will totally ignore that part of what you said since you failed to even make sense. I will however humor it by saying that the NBA DOES suffer from the same problem. Look at Yao Ming for instance, or Shaq. Shaq doesn't have a talented bone in his entire body, yet was a massive MVP because he is a giant. I'm just sick of seeing noobs with no talent getting carried

I totally understand that you can't always nerf real life, since that would mean discriminating against people based on their body type, which in a politically correct society would not be allowed.. still though, my point stands erect and correct.
