your coach isnt all knowing... i know i had multiple coaches that didnt train me certain aspects well at all... not going to say anything in thread to respect your wishes but i guarentee you are only allowing yourself to be at 30~% of your potential by assuming some random coach is all knowing
you will learn good things but also alot of bad habbits / things u wont learn that he doesnt know
my advice to you: 2x a week atleast go on a long jog (5 miles+). dont try to go to fast you jsut want to keep ur body going
the other days you can do HIIT
and stop lifting heavy controlled weights and start doing only fast explosive lifts with or without heavy weight
Do you think all the trolls on this website posting advice is actually going to help me? Seriously?
My coach may be a completely unknown person with an awful fighting record but he was trained by an amazing coach with other top caliber fighters.
He trained/fought with them with for 8 years professionally.
I don't have anywhere else to train so he is what I have and I trust him.
I know what I should be doing for cardio/lifting for kickboxing purposes. My coach bothers me about it all the time.
I lift the way I lift because its something I like to do and have done for years. When I have a fight coming I increase my cardio to prepare.
I have no intention of changing my lifestyle completely for kickboxing.
My coach is planning to bring in some higher level coaches to run a few classes here and there, however it is expensive to do so and our club is <1 year old.
