People were saying the same stuff when Jones played it safe vs OSP, then he took DC's soul. Khabib obviously could've won in a more impressive fashion, but i feel like khabib is very gameplan dependent. In his last fight, from the first bell he came out executing aggressively, and at the start of this fight he seemed a bit unsure until he got that first TD. Then when he realized he could just jab him to death he attempted the TD's way less. I feel like if it was Tony in there, there's a very good chance we'd have seen a better looking khabib.
my thoughts exactly. i was thinking back to when jones fought osp and when dc fought silva. they both played it safe and ppl were bashing them for not being the monster they usually are.
the same applies to khabib tonight imo
